A small note, before you scroll away
Three mischievous ways to help an author (without joining a cult).
Buy it anyway
Selling a book is a tricky arrangement: everyone seems to get paid before the author does. But a purchase tells the algorithm, “This book exists. Show it to humans.”
Write the review
Two lines. One feeling. No spoilers. Reviews are tiny lanterns for other readers, and they matter more than polite silence.
Do a “book whisper”
Send one friend a message like: “This reminded me of you.” That’s it. Word of mouth is still the most magical technology we have.
